Rutgers Future Scholars program is a natural outgrowth of Rutgers University’s longstanding commitment to removing the barriers that prevent talented, underserved students from attending college.  With each new class of 200 promising 8th graders, the program is truly transforming lives, igniting dreams of college, and opening up new worlds of possibilities. Though the program was launched locally—in Rutgers’ host towns of Newark, Camden, Piscataway and New Brunswick—it is envisioned as replicable in other communities around the New Jersey, and the country.

As Rutgers Future Scholars continues to expand, the program increasingly depends on the generous support from caring and visionary individual donors, as well as partnerships from the corporations and foundations spanning the state and the nation.
