"Each year, we select 200 promising eighth-graders from our home communities of Newark, Camden, New Brunswick, and Piscataway, all of them from low-income families.  We commit to five years of support through mentoring, visits to campus, summer courses, and college prep, and those who complete the program and are admitted to Rutgers are guaranteed free tuition. 

  

These are students who otherwise may never have dreamed of college.  And they are truly inspiring.  Virtually everyone in the first cohort returned for their second year, and most are maintaining good grades in school.  Their sights have been lifted, their imaginations are soaring, and they are so proud."
