ABOUT NEW BRUNSWICK FUTURE SCHOLARS
Our Program
Rutgers Future Scholars New Brunswick is one of the five RFS programs in New Jersey. We are heaviliy intertwined with the New Brunswick program and like them, serve 50 students in each of our cohorts in grades 8 – 12. We have a total of 250 scholars from Piscawataway each year.
Future Scholars is part of a Rutgers initiative to ensure local students have access to attain their higher education with a promise of tuition aid and support. We provide academic assistance, college access mentoring, and college scholarship aid.
RFS Brunswick provides opportunities for scholars to learn and explore their futures. Participating New Brunswick scholars get the necessary resources to achieve academic success and opportunities to give back to the local community.
Program Highlights:
- 50 student cohorts in grades 7 – 12
- Program scholars accepted to Rutgers earn scholarships
- Applications are open to 7th graders Spring 2023
